Philip Toshio Sudo

Philip Toshio Sudo (Oct. 20, 1959-Jun 9, 2002) was an author and musician. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and lived in New York City for many years. Philip Toshio Sudo (also known as Phil Sudo) lived in Maui, Hawaii while raising a family.

Phil is best known for his book Zen Guitar published by Simon and Schuster. He also wrote Zen 24/7, Zen Sex, and Zen Computer.

Phil's interpretation of Zen permeated through his writing, his composing, and through his performing. "The guitar has shown us again and again: Three chords can rock the world [1]." He has been a role model for musicians and for those looking for a more meaningful approach to their activities.
