Rezensionen
- Bayerischer Rundfunk: "Philipp Fussenegger demonstrates how to draw fascinating characters with few means - without betraying too much, without fussing around psychologically, simply with images and sounds that create an almost hypnotic pull."[5]
- Jury statement of the First Steps Awards: "The impressive and intimidating backdrop of the St. Blasien Monastery, organ pipes and boy's choir, the cruelties of a boarding school for boys that have been scarcely concealed: it quickly becomes clear who here will contest whose place at the organ and thus also in the hierarchy of the boarding school. The two young actors Nino Böhlau and Lukas Till Berglund are great opponents - self-confidently rebellious one, self-confidently silent the other. But this struggle for genius and prestige is not fought with words anyway, but with organ music from Bach to Arvo Pärt, Chopin's revolutionary canon also plays a special role. A visually and sonorously powerful cinematic force!"[6]
