The Phillys Games is a South African football (soccer) cup competition, featuring 24 clubs taking place every festive season and ends in the new year.[1] This competition is one of the longest-standing amateur football knockout cup competitions in Tembisa, first being contested in 1992. The winner receives R210 000.

The first round consists of 16 teams that are unseeded playing over two legs and the away goal rule doesn't apply. The second round consists of 8 seeded teams (teams that reached quarter finals from the previous season) face the eight winners of the first round; the ties are played over two legs with the tournament playing in different townships in Ekurhuleni. The final is played on a legged tie at the Makhulong Stadium.[2]

Prize money[edit]

The prize money has varied over years with the current paying R 210 000.
