Philippa "Phily" Bowden (born 29 March 1995) is a British long-distance runner from Bracknell, UK. She specializes in the marathon and is a GB international athlete who has represented her country in various events. Bowden is also a running coach and a content creator with a focus on her running journey.
Career
Bowden began her running career with the Bracknell Athletics Club. She attended Brunel University London on a sports scholarship, where she studied psychology. After graduating, she worked as a civil servant as a Policy Advisor before transitioning to a full-time career as a professional runner. She is coached by Jon Green and is signed with On Running.
Major Achievements
- Reading Half Marathon: She won the 2021 Reading Half Marathon with a time of 1:13:29.
- National Representation: She has represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland at major events, including the 2017 European Athletics U23 Championships, where she was part of the gold medal-winning team, and the European 10,000m Cup.
