Physics is a large category of science in which helps explain many day to day phenomena. The scientists that focus in this area of science are called physicists. Their job is to study many things such as light, sound, heat, electricity, motion, waves (not those that you do to your friends, many of the waves physicists’ study are not able to be seen by our eyes) as well as plenty more. Physicists are responsible for many inventions that have been helpful both in times of war but also in our everyday life. An example is Joan Maie freeman, who was part of a team who helped invent a 10cm microwave radar, which assisted many during the war. Other items that were invented by Physicists that are used in our everyday lives are: Light bulbs, electricity, thermometers, cars, planes, phones and even dynomite!
