Pierre Hachar Jr., Esq., is an American entertainment lawyer and the managing partner of The Hachar Law Group, based in Miami, Florida. He is known for his work in the music industry, representing artists, producers, songwriters, and companies in multimillion-dollar deals.[1] Since 2019, he has been recognized annually on Billboard magazine’s list of Top Music Lawyers.[1][2]
Early life and education
Hachar studied music business and jazz performance at the Berklee College of Music and later earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Business and Entertainment Industries, with a minor in marketing, from the University of Miami.[3] In 2009, he received a Juris Doctor cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law; he was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2010.[4]
Career
Hachar founded The Hachar Law Group, focusing on entertainment law, music business consulting, contracts, copyrights, trademarks, and complex business matters.[5] He has spoken at industry events including Billboard Latin Music Week[6] and serves on the Advisory Committee of the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation.[7] In January 2025, he took part in the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation’s **Emerging Artist Intensive**, held in partnership with Berklee Global.[8]
Recognition
Hachar has been listed in Billboard magazine’s annual Top Music Lawyers feature for seven consecutive years (2019–2025).[1] He was inducted into Marquis Who’s Who in 2020.[9]
