Pierre R. Brondeau

Pierre R. Brondeau is a French-Born, American business executive. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of FMC Corporation since January 1, 2010 and its Chairman since October 1, 2010[1]. He serves as Chairman of Livent Corporation since October 11, 2018. Brondeau has been an Independent Director of TE Connectivity Ltd. since June 30, 2007 and has been its Lead Independent Director since June 30, 2007. Brondeau also serves as Director of the American Chemistry Council and Trustee at the Franklin Institute.[2].

Brondeau retired from Dow Chemical Company in September 2009, where he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dow Advanced Materials.[3] He had previously served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Rohm and Haas Company from May 2008 until 2009. Brondeau had joined the company in 1989, where he had served in several roles, including Chief Executive Officer and President of Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials, LLC, President of Rohm & Haas Co., and Regional Director of Europe.[4]

Brondeau received a BS and PhD in Biochemical Engineering at INSA in Toulouse France in 1980, an M.S. Degree Food Sciences from the University of Montpellier in 1981 and PhD in Biological Chemistry at the University of Toulouse, France in 1983.[5].

Awards[edit]

The Société de Chimie Industrielle will award the 2019 International Palladium Medal to Mr. Brondeau for his contributions to the chemical industry and his leadership in enhancing the international aims and objectives of the Société de Chimie Industrielle.[6]
