Piers William Dunhill Turner (born 24 April 1994), is an entrepreneur and angel investor[1] better known as Piers Dunhill. He is the great great grandson of Sir Alfred Dunhill FRSA and the family brand, Alfred Dunhill Ltd founded in 1893, a London based luxury brand owned by Swiss company Richemont and the Dunhill tobacco products company owned by British American Tobacco (now two independently owned entities).

In February 2020, Piers became the director of a company that sells ladies health cannabidiol ("CBD") products under the brand name Lady A (Alexandra Dunhill Limited).[2] In April 2020, Piers Dunhill founded a boutique venture capitalist firm, Dunhill Ventures[3] (DV Founders Ltd) that provides structured financial solutions to startup companies and fund managers.

Early Life[edit]

Piers Dunhill was born on 24 April 1994 in London, England. He is the second of three children to Charles Turner, a real estate developer based in the United States of America, and his then wife Alexandra Dunhill, granddaughter of Alfred Dunhill FRSA, an entrepreneur that specializes in Ladies Health Products[4]. Piers attended the Saint Philip's Independent Roman Catholic School[5], Kensington, London from 2001 to 2007, and attended Pangbourne College, Berkshire from 2007 to 2008 before relocating to the United States of America. He attended Coral Rock Academy[6] in Miami from 2008 to 2009, and then went on to complete his GCSEs and AS Levels from The Tutors Group, London between 2009 to 2011. In 2014, Piers became part of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Early Career[edit]

In 2018, Piers joined Aaron Kirman partners[7] as a real estate specialist focusing on properties in Beverly Hills, California[8]. Thereafter in 2019, he ventured into exploring Cannabis products as the Vice President of Sales for Cannabis Now. In February 2020, Piers became a director of a Ladies Health Products brand, Lady A.

Dunhill Ventures & Dunhill Family Offices[edit]

In April 2020, Piers Dunhill founded a boutique venture capitalist firm, Dunhill Ventures (DV Founders Ltd, Incorporated on 9 May 2022) that provides structured financial solutions to startup companies, fund managers and family offices. Dunhill Ventures is present in London, Switzerland, and Dubai with investments in several asset classes.

MetaWeek, EAAS & WOW Summit 2022[edit]

The MetaWeek 2022 was a conference that aimed to gather investors to contribute USD 4B to the UAE economy, along with the creation of 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030. The conference focused on the transformational characteristics of Web 3.0, the evolution of digital assets and blockchain.[9] In March 2022, Piers Dunhill, the Dunhill Ventures Team and Alessandra Silvestri-Levy von Bismarck attended the MetaWeek, EAAS and WOW Summit in Dubai.[10] Piers and the team participated in The Energy as A Service ("EAAS") Talk during MetaWeek, in a panel discussion entitled "Scaling Up Sustainable Investment Through Blockchain & AI" featuring Piers and the Team, which is the third in a series of EAAS impact series hosted by Greg Krzeszowski[11], Dereck Alexander Jon Hoogenkamp, Vlatko Gigov and Valerie Hawley.[12]

World Economic Forum Davos & Le Marché International des Professionnels de L'Immobilier ("MIPIM") 2023[edit]

The World Economic Forum in Davos is an event that features stakeholders such as leaders from government, business and other sectors which convene to discuss matters of international concern. The focus of the event in 2023 was to understand solutions to global environmental issues and develop a long term strategy with panel businesses to mitigate the ecological issues at stake.[13] At the event, the Dunhill Ventures team held meetings and panel discussions among partner family offices to explore the current innovations in blockchain technologies, ethical and impact investing, fintech and the ESG sectors, and create a better understanding on how to globalize environmental impact strategies.[citation needed] In March 16, 2023, Piers and Dunhill Ventures hosted a Dunhill Real Estate Investor Reception at the Le Marché International des Professionnels de L'Immobilier conference in the French Riviera. The reception featured UNHWIs and Partner Family Offices to discuss a proposed United Kingdom Tier 2 affordable housing project.[citation needed]

London Climate Action Week ("LCAW") 2023[edit]

The LCAW held between June 24 2023 and July 2 2023 is the fifth event in a series of annual events that serves as a platform for climate stakeholders and participants to explore solutions to global climate change. The event in 2023, sponsored by E3G (Third Generation Environmentalism Limited[14]), a think tank for climate change, was held to delve into the ecosystem of London and harness the climate networking opportunities to foster a coordinated drive towards global climate action.[15] During the event, Dunhill Ventures held a raising impact investor roundtable meeting at the Biltmore Mayfair London, featuring 136 UNHWIs and partner family offices to showcase long term green energy investment opportunities that attempt to future proof the effects of climate change.[citation needed]
