Pigmice (FRC Team 2733) is a FIRST robotics team from Cleveland High School in Portland, Oregon. The robotics team's roots trace back to 2003, but the official FRC team was formed in 2009.

Team history

Prehistory (FLL)

Pigmice was originally founded as a FIRST Lego League team in 2003, by students from Edwards Elementary School (now closed).[1] The team members spent four years preparing, eventually enrolling at Winterhaven K-8 School. It was there, in 2007, that they won the FIRST LEGO League 1st Place Champion's Award, competing at the World Festival where they went up against teams from over 20 other countries.[2][3]

FRC history

The students who formed the original Pigmice team formed the current team in 2009. It was given the official designation FIRST Robotics Team 2733. As recently as 2019, Pigmice competed in the FIRST District Championships in Houston, Texas.[4]

In 2019, the Pigmice and Team 2471 from Washington had robots they built that year appear in the Netflix TV show Trinkets.[5] In the show, the Pigmice robot was renamed to Ottermus Prime, and was the robot of the protagonist's robotics team.[6]
