Overview[edit]
Pima Community College Foundation, Inc. (Pima Foundation, the Foundation) was incorporated in the state of Arizona in 1977. The Foundation’s responsibilities include securing private philanthropic support for scholarships, programs, and other needs for Pima Community College (PCC).[1] It's Charity Navigator’s Encompass Rating as of April 2021 is 88/100.[2]

History[edit]
In late 2017, under the leadership of former Foundation President Rachael Schaming, the Foundation became a separate entity from the College strengthening the Foundation’s role in supporting PCC through philanthropic efforts. Early in 2019 Pima Foundation added the College’s alumni community to its oversight.[1] Pima Foundation has been a tax-exempt non-profit organization since March 1981.[4]

Pima Foundation accepts various types of gifts to support students and Pima Community College.
Signature Gifts[edit]
Donations support the Foundation’s purpose and mission and address specific funds and areas of greatest need. Investment could be directed to general scholarships, programs, athletics and/or college initiatives.
Recurring Gifts[edit]
Weekly, monthly or annual donations may be made by credit card, through private banking institutions, or the donor’s company’s payroll deduction service.
Planned Gifts[edit]
Gifts of personal property or investment accounts can be planned after consulting with an Estate Law attorney.
Matched Gifts[edit]
Pima Foundation accepts funds matched by an employer’s desire to add a level of support to its employee’s giving.
Vehicle Donations[edit]
The Foundation also accepts vehicle donations through its fundraising partner, Donation Line, LLC.
