Pinaki Srichandan is an Indian filmmaker, writer and creative entrepreneur from Odisha, India. He is best known for writing and directing the Odia-language film Niyati (2023).[1] He has also been involved in the production of short films, documentaries and commercial projects within the regional Odia film industry. Early life and education Pinaki Srichandan was born on 7 September 1992 in Puri, Odisha, India, and was raised in the state. He studied at Utkal Hindi Bidyapitha and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Pipili Mahavidyalaya.[2] He completed his higher secondary education (+2 Science) from UGS College in Odisha. Career Srichandan began his career as a short-film and advertisement creator, later moving into feature-film direction. He founded his own creative media venture, focusing on independent films and brand content.[3] His debut feature film, Niyati (2023), written and directed by him, marked his entry into the Odia film industry and received attention for its storytelling and local cultural themes.[4] Prior to that, he directed Prahelika (2022) and the social film Sadaka Surakhya Jibana Rakhya (Eka Samajika Dayittwa) (2022).[1] Filmography
