Pins and Nettie
Pins and Nettie is an Irish animated preschool series created by Lindsey Adams and Shannon George. The series, produced by Dublin-based Daily Madness Productions explores the situation of shyness among preschool children.
The series was first pitched at Cartoon Forum 2019 in Toulouse, France.
Pins and Nettie was one of the first animated properties to address preschoolers about the COVID-19 Global Pandemic. First introduced directly to audiences with the short " Together and Safe" in April 2020 via YouTube, with a full series of twenty six episodes being broadcast from October 7th 2020 via Hopster.tv, Minno Kids, RTÉ in Ireland, Showmax in South Africa, YLE in Finland.

Plot[edit]
Hedgehog best friends, Pins and Nettie, alongside their friend the narrator, explore the sometimes difficult feelings associated with shyness and anxiety.[1]
There is nothing they like more than going on adventures together, most of time. You see, Pins and Nettie can both be very shy, especially when encountering the unknown or unexpected – whether it's an unfamiliar door on the Hedgie Highway, the biggest puddle they've ever seen, or the prospect of meeting a new friend. Pins and Nettie will explore the very real, very common situation of shyness amongst pre-schoolers and reassure viewers that there is nothing wrong with being shy. It's just a different way of being and taking in the world around you. Yes, Pins and Nettie are shy, butthey are still happy little hedgehogs who just need to approach things in their own way.

Pins and Nettie was nominated for 'Best Character Design' at the Manchester Animation Festival 2020[2], 'Best Animated Preschool Series', 'Best Director of an Animated Series', 'Best Irish IP' & 'Best Music' at the Irish Animation Awards 2021[3]
