Pinup Dolls USA
Pinup Dolls USA is a nonprofit organization created in 2017 by founder, Serenity Ford aka Rosie Cheeks in Abilene, Texas. Her name was given to her some years back, due to her love of wearing, and vast collection, of bandanas and styling them in such a way that is reminiscent to the American WWII icon, Rosie the Riveter. Since Rosie was a young girl, she dreamed of learning the arts of Beauty. That being mainly the art of makeup, photography and vintage styling. Once she accomplished those dreams and goals; A new dream came into her vision. With the platform she had built with Rosie Cheeks, she decided to take things a step further with creating Pinup Dolls USA, An organization made up of like-minded, everyday women in her community who wanted to take a stand against domestic violence and give back to the community while uplifting one another for their talents and strengths.
As a person who suffered abuse as a child as well as a woman, Rosie has made it her mission and in turn, our mission is to raise not only funds, but awareness for disadvantaged women & children, namely, domestic violence & abuse victims; giving a voice to those who need. We obtain funds and support by hosting events, attending, volunteering & assisting in charity/donation based car shows & other events, as well as by getting the word out about our cause via social media. Any gal between the ages of 0 & 100 are welcome and encouraged to be a Doll. We offer a very well structured group of ladies from all walks of life and experiences who have one goal in mind: to spread love to Abilene & surrounding areas while advocating for persons suffering from social issues such as Domestic Violence, Homelessness & Hunger (to name a few). We raise funds and obtain funding for our club by hosting and attending events such as: Car Shows, Football Games, Banquets & Benefits, Car Washes, Concerts, Festivals & more as well as by providing services such as: -Makeup & Hair -Photography -Face Painting -Nail Painting -Temp tattoos
