History[edit]

The current structure was completed in 1958 (then Emmanuel Missionary College Church). After meeting in several buildings across campus, a new structure was completed in 1958 and later renamed Pioneer Memorial Church in 1960. In 1996 new north and south wings were added to house additional children's Sabbath School divisions, which previously had also met at various locations across the Andrews University campus. The $3.7 million dollar project added 34,000 square feet of new space and included a new fellowship hall, kitchen, and chapel.
