Pivotal iQ

Pivotal iQ is the trading name of Pivotal Intelligence Limited[1], an IT intelligence company that was founded in 2015. Its corporate headquarters are in London, and it also has offices in New York and Hyderabad. The company founder and CEO.[2] is Tim Royston-Webb, former Group Managing Director for Business Information at Progressive Digital Media Group now called GlobalData. In April 2018, the Data Science Foundation published Royston-Webb's white paper Propensity Modelling for Business[3], with much of the scientific content forming the basis for Pivotal iQ's IT intelligence platform.

Background[edit]

In 2018, TechMarketView reported that Pivotal iQ has "developed what is believed to be the world’s most accurate, most granular and most dynamic view of the IT industry’s supply and procurement activities"[4].

In the same year the company was a finalist for the Technology Brand of the Year[5] award at the Tech Marketing & Innovation Awards and shortlisted for the BigData/IoT Project of the Year[6] award at the Digital Technology Leaders Awards. Both awards ceremonies are organised by Computing magazine, a fortnightly magazine published by Incisive Media for IT professionals.

Pivotal iQ was also in the UK top 10 of the Tech5 technology startup awards which aims to highlight the UK's fastest growing technology companies. The company came 8th in the final 10 in order of revenue growth[7].

TechMarketView has called Pivotal iQ a 'Great British Scaleup' stating the company "is on a mission to to revolutionise how market intelligence is received and applied by the ICT sector ". The publication reported that "Pivotal iQ tracks everyday some 2 billion data points relating to 600,000 companies and an IT spend of $3.25tn across 186 countries."[8]
