Piyapat Punprasit is a highly regarded robotics & rhetorical competitor from Thailand. Most well known for his actions at the 2023 Beijing RC where he has won a quarter-final round against the adult Egyptian team at the age of 10. Currently he competes in robotics with team Unknown Robot.[1] and in rhetorical competitions with an undisclosed coach.

Robotics

Maker Robotics Challenge 2022-2026

Piyapat began his robotics journey in 2022 at the MRC Championship reportedly qualifying into Quarter-Finals before being knocked-out. He then competed in the 2023 Championship winning it for the first time in the MISO category at the age of 9. In 2024 he joined once again to win the MSRJ category then defeating the senior category champion to represent Thailand at the All Japan Robot-Sumo Tournament[2]. Not much is known about his 2025-2026 entries, only that 2025 was his first official entry with Unknown Robot.

Beijing Robot Challenge 2023

The 2023 MRC Championship qualified Piyapat to the Beijing Robot Challenge Competition where he became famous among the international robotics community. He was the only Thai competitor in the Quarter-Finals where he was matched up against the adult Egyptian team. He won against them even though the Egyptian's robot was illegal eventually letting him claim 3rd Place there[3].

World Robot Games 2023-2025

In 2023 Piyapat entered into the WRG Thailand Championship in the Ball Fighting RC category he and his team claiming 2nd Place[4]. Then, in 2024 he entered for the 2024 WRG Thailand Championship with the same mentor and category once again earning 2nd Place[5]. The 2025 WRG Thailand Championship had him competing in Line Formula and Ball Fighting RC claiming 1st in Line Formula and 2nd in Ball Fighting which qualified him to represent Thailand at the WRG Final Round in Taipei. In this Final Round he achieved 1st in the Sumo Family category and 2nd in Line Formula.

Rhetoric

World Changers Cup 2023

Piyapat entered the rhetorical field in 2023 starting with the World Changers Cup by A Team Academy. It was a public speaking and debating competition in which he claimed 1st in public speaking and 2nd in debate[6].

Future Leaders 2024-2025

In both 2024 and 2025 Piyapat won 1st place in the Future Leaders speech competition for the Age Group 2 Category with speeches about John F. Kennedy and Winston Churchill[7][8]

World Scholar's Cup 2025-2026

For 2025 Piyapat entered the Bangkok regional round taking 4 Gold and 4 Silver medals[9]. He then also entered the Bangkok Global round in which he achieved 1st in Individual Debate, 1st in Team Debate, 6th Place Overall Team, 6 Gold Medals, and 2 Silver Medals[10]. There is also evidence that he attended the Tournament of Champions for World Scholar's Cup, but it is not confirmed. In 2026 he entered to the 2026 Bangkok regional round taking 2nd Place in Team Debate.
