PlasticsEurope is the European trade association for the plastics industry.

History

It was founded as the Association of Plastics Manufacturers in Europe (APME) in 1976.

It became PlasticsEurope on 22 January 2005.

Structure

There are 60,000 companies in the European industry, 1.45 million employees, and 320 billion euros in turnover per year.

It is headquartered in Belgium.
