Playtech was founded in 1999 and is a leading provider of platforms, content and services in the online gambling industry, with a focus on regulated and regulating markets.

According to Playtech’s Global Head of Government Relations, Brazil’s regulated gambling market generated more than R$37 billion in GGR in 2025, with nearly R$10 billion collected in taxes and 25.2 million Brazilians betting on licensed platforms, while player protection remains a central element of the regulatory framework.
