Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Anne Marilyn Lucas,DGA is a Boston based playwright. Her plays have been produced in NYC, Boston, Missouri, and Greece ( in Greek ). Three of her full length plays have debuted at THE THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY, in New York. RECOVERY was submitted for the PULITZER PRIZE, received 3 Massachusetts Cultural Council Grants and was produced in Greece. Her short plays have been done in Boston, NYC and a regional colleges. Anne has been an actress, director and educator. She began acting at 5 with THE HEIGHTS YOUTH THEATRE in Cleveland Ohio. She went to Lake Erie College earning a B.F.A. with honors in Music and Theater. Anne spent 3 years in London, England studying at THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF MUSIC and graduating with a Diploma from THE WEBBER-DOUGLAS ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ART. She was a regional theater actress before going to BOSTON UNIVERSITY and receiving a BFA in Theater Education and Directing. Over the years she has acted in New York in theater, film and television. She became a Professor in the Drama Department at Salem State University. She is on the ADVISORY BOARD at THE AMERICAN REPERTORY THEATER, BOARD OF DIRECTORS at MLT and ADVISORY BOARD of THE LET'S GIVE IT UP FOUNDATION. Anne has a life time commitment to the theater and theater education. Her produced plays: SAY THE NAME, FROM SILENCE, RECOVERY, and PARTY? have come from issues she cares deeply about and hope to educate, inspire and uplift. They all give voices to parts of our society that have been overlooked.
