Plesingho

Plesingho was a medieval English settlement first recorded in the hundred (county division) of Dunmow, Essex county.[1] The settlement appears in the historical record at least eight times between 1086 and 1380.[2]
Etymology
The name Plesingho means "The ridge of Plesa or of his sons"[2]
In the Domesday Book
Plesingho is recorded as having been owned by a freeman before the Norman Conquest. A small portion of Plesingho is listed as owned by Eustace II, Count of Boulogne, a companion of William the Conqueror.[1]
