Plotagon
Plotagon is a storytelling tool and 3D moviemaking platform founded in 2013, officially part of the Bublar group as of November 2020. Its method is a combination of gaming technology, classic film production, and old-fashioned screenwriting.
History
Plotagon AB was founded in 2010 by Filip Grufman. The early beta version of Plotagon was released in mid-2012–2013. In October 2013, the software was revamped, and realistic characters were changed to more cartoon-like versions, and at the same time, it was removed. The first version was released in 2014. It returned on Google Play on November 15, 2014. In early 2015, Plotagon made a YouTube Channel for upcoming notices in the app.
In late October 2016, Plotagon Education was officially launched. Plotagon Education is a school-safe version of Plotagon featuring dedicated privacy, security, content moderation, and group management features. In late 2017, a set of two default new voices, Rod & Karen, were launched. A studio application of Plotagon was launched in October 2017.
On January 1, 2018, new Plotagon Users will get the Rod & Karen pre-installed, while two scenes – Cafe and TV Sofa – were pre-installed. In April 2018, users could purchase child voices and adult voices in different languages. This included saving a video file, while you could still upload your plots to YouTube.
By July 2016, over ten million videos had been created using the Plotagon AB application. On August 12, 2016, The Joey and Jennifer voices were updated, as they were Adam and Katherine.
At the end of 2016, free packages were available every year when it is a special event. They last for a limited time. In July 2017, you could use subtitles for your videos, and the brand name is just "Plotagon". By the end of 2017, more scenes were constantly added.
As of May 2018, Plotagon has a new outro at the end of each video. During the summer of 2018, it was planned that Joey and Jennifer were going to be removed on July 30, 2018.
On October 31, 2018, it announced that the community would be moving.
In November 2020, Bublar acquired Plotagon AB.
Description
Plotagon is currently available on the App Store and Google Play. As of October 2020, approximately 300–350 thousand individual users are actively using the platform on a monthly basis.
