Plymouth Tube
Plymouth Tube is a historic American business that sells various types of tubing including carbon fiber and stainless steel. It is private and was founded in 1924 and has its headquarters in Warrenville, Illinois. The company has production plants in various other states.[1] In 2008 it had about 1,000 employees.[2] It has operations in Winamac, Indiana.[3] Drew Van Pelt became CEO in 2018.[4]
It also had a production facility in Dunkirk, New York but it closed during a downturn in the 1980s.
U.S. bicycle manufacturer Detroit Bikes purchases its chromoly steel from Plymouth Tube.[5]
Drew Van Pelt was named the company's CEO in 2018.[6]
It acquired Nisshin Automotive Tubing of Versailles, Kentucky in 2020.[7] Nisshin was a subsidiary of a Japanese company.[8]
