Polly Adams is an American actress, voiceover artist, newscaster, and activist. Adams originated the role of Nina on Broadway in the Nobel Prize winning play Zalmen or The Madness of God by Elie Wiesel. Adams originated the role of Mrs. Gill in the acclaimed New York production of The Nibroc Trilogy[1] by Arlene Hutton. On All My Children Adams originated the role of one of the first female lawyers on television, District Attorney Louisa Dorsey.
As a voiceover artist, Adams voiced the female voice for the infamous Paco Rabanne commercial banned by NBC for being ‘too sexy’. Adams was the first female announcer hired in 1970 by the longest running public television station WNET THIRTEEN in New York City, New York and appeared as the first solo on-air host for the 16 part PBS series, "The Tourists are coming, The tourists are Coming" in 1976.
Polly Adams is an active SAG-AFTRA union member and activist. As a board member for the union, Adams was a part of the SAG-AFTRA merger G-I Committee that was able to accomplish the historic union merger in 2012[2] that had previously failed three times. As a former New York AFTRA local and national board member, she served on numerous national negotiating committees for Prime Time, commercial and PBS contracts.

Polly Adams is an American actress born in Nashville, Tennessee. Married to architect John Klausz (1979 - 1997) and has two sons.
Following Adams debut on Broadway in the Noble Prize winning play, she joined the first national tour of Lost in Yonkers playing Gert. Adams was a founding member of New York City’s acclaimed Ensemble Studio Theatre.
Polly Adams works in television in the United States. She's appeared on Law and Order, Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Now and Again, and soap operas The Edge of Night and All My Children. Her film credits include: The Juror (1976), Woody Allen's Celebrity (1998) People I Know (2002), David & Layla (2005), We Need To Talk About Kevin (2011) and She’s Funny That Way (Film) by Peter Bogdanovitch (2014).[3]
Adams currently serves on the SAG-AFTRA National Disciplinary Review Committee, the National Committee for Commercial Performers, and the National Low Budget Film Committee. Adams represents the union on the New York Central Labor Council.
