Polycomb Response Elements (PREs)
From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
Polycomb response elements (PREs) are the cis-regulatory DNA sequences where the polycomb group (PcG) proteins bind to repress their target genes. In Drosophila, PREs play essential roles in recruiting polycomb repressive complexes (e.g., PRC1 and PRC2) for their repressive activities to genes.[1]
