Pomins is an unincorporated community in El Dorado County, California.[1] It is located 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Meeks Bay,[2] at an elevation of 6260 feet (1908 m).[1]
A post office operated at Pomins from 1915 to 1942.[2] The name honors its first postmaster, Frank J. Pomin.[2]
