Porfile Gorgoshidze
Porfile Gorgoshidze (b. 1892, Likhauri, now Ozurgeti municipality, - d. 1978, buried in Likhauri cemetery) - was a Georgian officer.

About Porfile Gorgoshidze
He was born in a peasant family. He studied at the Ozurgeti gymnasium, which he could not graduate due to lack of funds. From 1909 , he worked as a typist in Tbilisi, first in Arutinov's, then Gachechiladze's printing house. Newspapers: "Theatre and Life" , "Modern Thought" and others were published in the latter . After the start of World War I , he was drafted into the army in 1914 . Since 1917 , he was a senior non-commissioned officer in the Georgian People's Guard. Poruchik Valodia Goguadze on the Ottoman front in 1918. He was an assistant on armored train No. 4 (his brother Alexander also served here). He showed his bravery on April 8, 1918 in Md. In the Battle at Cholok, for which the Gorgoshidze brothers St. George's Cross was awarded. In the battle, Porfile Gorgoshidze was seriously wounded, due to which he left the military service. During the Soviet period, he worked in a collective farm. In 1929 and 1937 , he was briefly imprisoned by the Soviet authorities. He has memories of the "Hero Armored Man".
