Portea Medical[3] is a consumer healthcare provider based in India. It is co-founded by Ganesh Krishnan and Meena Ganesh in the year 2013.[4] The company's headquarters is in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Portea has more than 10,000+ employees.[5]

Portea was first founded by Zachary Jones and Karan Aneja in 2012. Meena Ganesh and her husband Ganesh Krishnan acquired Portea Medical in July 2013. Portea is operating in 16 cities including Bengaluru, NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Indore.[6][7]
Funding and Growth[edit]
Portea received $9 million Series-A funding led by Accel[8] and followed by Qualcomm Ventures and Ventureast in December 2013.[9] In September 2015, the company raised $37.5 million[10][11] in Series-B funding.[12] [13][14]
The third round of funding gathered $26 million[15] where Sabre Partners and MEM GCD led the Series-C negotiations in September 2017.[16] Existing investors Accel Partners, IFC and Qualcomm Ventures also participated in raising funds.[17][18]
