Positive Learning Ltd is a Finnish E-learning company based in Helsinki, Finland. Founded in 2017 by University of Helsinki lecturer Lotta Uusitalo and doctoral researcher Kaisa Vuorinen, the company is best known for the SEE THE GOOD! -program.
History
Both of Positive Learning's founders, Kaisa Vuorinen and Lotta Uusitalo, have been special class teachers and later became special Pedagogy researchers.
In 2015, Kaisa Vuorinen faced the challenge of long-term development for special class students. After that, Kaisa Vuorinen was using Positive Pedagogy in her teaching strategy, which brought a significant positive result to create the sustainable self-development of the students.
In 2017, Kaisa Vuorinen and Lotta Uusitalo opened the way for a new strength-based pedagogy in Finland, after Kaisa Vuorinen applied to the University of Helsinki. In the same year, 2017, two founders won EUR 500,000 in Sitra's Solution 100 competition.[1], which enabled them to build up Positive Learning Ltd[1]
In 2019, Positive Learning announced that it would become an official member of the Finland Education organisation.
Until 2021, Positive Learning has collaborated with 110 global schools, trained over 25,000 educators globally and sold over 11,000 books & cards.[2] In August 2021, Positive announced that SEE THE GOOD! -program had reached over 5,000 users globally.

Books are based on Lotta Uusitalo and Kaisa Vuorinen SEE THE GOOD! - pedagogy. The core of this positive pedagogy is in perceiving good in each child, highlighting strengths, and recording successes. Teaching character strengths as a separate theme is also an essential part of positive education.[4]

Education methods
Positive Products are based on Positive Education, which is a positive, humanistic psychological frame of reference based on scientific information.
The idea of actively seeing the good is at the core of positive pedagogy. To do this, people must train their eyes to notice even the small successes. They are worth celebrating. The more challenges there are in a child’s or adolescent’s life, the stronger their need for encouragement and positive feedback. The feedback must come from tangible things that can be pointed out. The ability to return to good moments allows people to strengthen the experience of success and remember it. Experiences of success build up a bag of resources that teaches the child to trust their own skills. They learn to know their strengths and believe that success is possible in the future as well[5]. A wise educator provides children with opportunities to succeed.
There are sensible ideas in the materials for teachers of Positive pedagogy. Emphasizing cohesion, teaching through example, and giving positive feedback sound worthwhile.[3]
