Post Scriptum - The Bloody Seventh is a tactical first-person shooter video game set in World War II developed by Periscope Games, and published by the creators of Project Reality and SQUAD, Offworld Industries. The main goal of the game is, besides being a large-scale mil-sim, to put emphasis on teamwork and communication during the fight over multiple objectives to ensure victory and survival.

Gameplay

Post Scriptum's aim is to be "a WW2 simulation game, focusing on historical accuracy, large scale battles, a difficult learning curve and an intense need for cohesion, communication and teamwork.".[2] Much like Squad, Post Scriptum is primarily focused on communication and teamwork between teammates which is key to success. The maps are large-scale, and will support 40v40 fights, with 50v50 as an endgoal. Post Scriptum will have over 40 vehicles including transport Jeeps, logistic trucks, armoured cars and tanks; all accurately modelled using real world references. The games will have a realistic frontline system, where players will be able to capture objectives in order to gain control over the map.

Development

Periscope Games' announcement of Post Scriptum happened in late 2016.

“Periscope Games” is a game development studio that came to exist from the merging between PR:WW2 (an add-on crew from the Battlefield 2 mod Project Reality) and Liberty’s Highway (a modding team from SQUAD).

Steam

Early 2018 was when the game's page appeared on Steam, alongside the message "Are you a Squad founder or backer? Go way back before the Steam release? As a token of our appreciation, you'll be receiving a copy of Post Scriptum."[3]

People who pre-ordered the game on Steam will have access to the Early Access.[4]

Reception

Since its release, the game has earned a gamerscore of 7.60 on whatoplay based on 6.06K user reviews.[5]
