Potential studios have marked their presence through their first movie Maya (2015), a neo-noir horror film starring Nayanthara and Aari and directed by Ashwin Saravanan. The film got a plethora of awards for Nayanthara at various events. And the film got released in Telegu as Mayuri and had been a hit too.[1]After a box office hit from Maya, Potential Studio's next movie was Maanagaram (2017) directed by the talented Lokesh Kanagaraj starring Sundeep Kishan, Sri, and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles. Maanagaram was released in theatres on March 10, 2017, and gave another hit for Potential studios.[2] Monster is the third film from this production house, following Maya and Maanagaram, and is directed by Nelson Venkatesan and stars S. J. Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Karunakaran.[3]
After monster, Tamizh, director Vetrimaaran Associate, has directed the fourth film Taanakkaran starring Vikram Prabhu and Anjali Nair. The movie got released in April 2022 on the Hotstar OTT platform and the movie was loved by the audiences.[citation needed]
