From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Pouchain Sportswear is an Italian football, baseball and sportswear brand. It reached the peak of its success in the late 1970s and early 1980s through a series of prestigious football team sponsorships.

History

Pouchain Sportswear was founded in 1978 by the Italian entrepreneur Maurizio Pouchain. During a trip to the United States Italian entrepreneur Maurizio Pouchain became aware of the heavy influence of sports on fashion. Many Americans enjoyed displaying their favorite sports team or game and chose to do so by wearing clothing that represents it. Back in Italy Pouchain opened a sportswear factory in Borgorese, in the Abruzzo region.

Pouchain Sportswear signed up Italian football clubs like Roma, Lazio, Palermo, Udinese, Cesena, Bari and Ascoli.
