PowerBlock was founded in Owatonna, MN in 1993 and invented by Carl Towley. The company's claim to fame is their adjustable dumbbell system but they also specialize in adjustable kettlebells, benches and other accessories. Their products are featured in some of the top training facilities around the world including elite collegiate programs, NHL stadiums, NFL programs, EXOS (formerly Athletes Performance), and in the Navy Seals Training Facility on Coronado Island.[1]
