The first convention, organized by MMCorp, was held at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in 2007. MMCorp's founder, Maureen Dawson,[1] subsequently sold the event to Neoscott Productions. The convention is now run by Neoscott Productions and Troublemakers Services, both owned by toy collector and designer Scott Zillner.[2][3][4]

Guests at the event have included actors from both the Los Angeles-shot and Auckland-shot seasons of the show, as well as voice actors, artists, writers and producers. Since 2012, the show has also been host to official cast announcements for upcoming seasons of Power Rangers. The actors playing the core ranger team typically make their first public appearance at the event before traveling to New Zealand to begin work on the show.

Other programming has included panels with cast and crew, announcements from comic publisher Boom! Studios and costume contests. Fan podcasts such as No Pink Spandex and Ranger Command Power Hour have recorded live episodes at the convention.[5]

The convention has been biennial since 2010, with the exception of 2020, when the event was postponed and later canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
