Power Rangers is a comic book franchise distributed by Boom! Studios, based on the television series of the same name. Originally licensed by Saban Brands since 2016, the rights were passed to Hasbro on 2018.
Publication history[edit]
On June 2015, Boom! Studios and Saban Brands announced a new comic book series based on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, with the initial creative staff featuring Kyle Higgins as writer, Steve Orlando and Mairghread Scott as co-writers, and Hendry Prasetya and Daniel Bayliss as artists.[1]
On February 2016, Boom! announced a spin-off limited series titled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink by Brenden Fletcher, Kelly Thompson and Daniele Di Nicuolo.[2]
On April 2017, Boom! announced a prequel series titled Go Go Power Rangers by Ryan Parrott and Dan Mora.[3]
On December 2017, Boom! announced "Shattered Grid", a crossover storyline between Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Go Go Power Rangers, which marked the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Power Rangers.[4]
On July 2018, Hasbro became the new licensor of the current Power Rangers comics.[5]

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers[edit]
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is an ongoing comic book series written by Kyle Higgins and drawn by Corin Howell, later replaced by Jonas Scharf. It started running on February 26, 2018. It has been running with 30 issues, including a #0 issue, three annual issues and a Free Comic Book Day 2018 special issue.[6]
Starting from September 2018, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers creative team will be changed by writer Marguerite Bennett and artist Simone di Meo.[7]
Tommy Oliver has recently joined the Power Rangers, but he has been suffering visions about a possible future where he stays loyal to Rita Repulsa. That revelation will lead the Rangers to meet Lord Drakkon, an evil version of Tommy that came from an alternate universe and has joined forces with Rita. However, the Rangers will meet new allies on the way, like the Coinless, a resistance movement from Drakkon's world, and Grace Sterling, the leader of the secret agency known as Promethea, who shares a secret past with Zordon and Alpha 5. Once again, Lord Drakkon will attempt to look for the Morphin Grid, initiating the "Shattered Grid" event.
The series also features a few back-up strips stories by other creators, starring characters like Bulk and Skull, Squatt and Baboo, Blue Senturion, among others.
Starting from issue #31, a new storyline titled "Beyond the Grid" features Grace Sterling forming a new team of Power Rangers in order to deal with a new villain while they discover more mysteries about the Morphin Grid.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink[edit]
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink is a 6-issue limited series written by Brenden Fletcher and Kelly Thompson, and drawn by Daniele Di Nicuolo. It ran from July 6, 2016 to January 25, 2017.[8]
Kimberly Ann Hart travels to Rome so she can rescue her mother and stepfather, only to cross paths with Goldar.
Go Go Power Rangers[edit]
Go Go Power Rangers is an ongoing series written by Ryan Parrott and drawn by Dan Mora. It started running on July 27, 2017.[9]
The Power Rangers try to deal with responsibility of saving the world, as well as dealing with their real-life issues. Issues #8-12 feature a tie-in story to the "Shattered Grid" event, debuting the Ranger Slayer, a version of Kimberly from the same alternate timeline as Lord Drakkon (Tommy Oliver).

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: 25th Anniversary Special[edit]
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: 25th Anniversary Special is a one-shot issue released on June 27, 2018. The issue featured various stories from the Power Rangers universe, created by many writers and artists for the 25th anniversary of the franchise.[10]
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Shattered Grid Finale[edit]
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Shattered Grid Finale is a one-shot issue written by Kyle Higgins and drawn by Daniele Di Nicuolo and Diego Galindo, with ink assistance by Simona di Gianfelice. It was released during Power Rangers Day on August 28, 2018. This issue marks the conclusion of the "Shattered Grid" event.[11]
Go Go Power Rangers: Back to School[edit]
Go Go Power Rangers: Back to School is an upcoming one-shot issue written by Marguerite Bennett, featuring art from Jim Towe, Derek Charm, Jordan Gibson, Xiao Tong Kong and Ilaria Catalani. It will be released on September 2018.[12]

Justice League/Power Rangers[edit]
Justice League/Power Rangers is a 2017 crossover limited series written by Tom Taylor and drawn by Stephen Byrne and Eduardo Nunez. The series was published by Boom! Studios and DC Comics. It debuted on January 11, 2017 and ended on Sepember 27, 2017.[13]
The Power Rangers try to rescue Zack Taylor, who was accidentally transported to the DC Universe, where they join forces with the Justice League in order to confront an alliance between Lord Zedd and Brainiac.
Power Rangers: Aftershock[edit]
Power Rangers: Aftershock is a 2017 graphic novel written by Ryan Parrot and drawn by Lucas Werneck. The novel is set after the events of the 2017 film. It was released on March 4, 2017.[14]
The Power Rangers deal with the aftermath of Goldar's rampage, only to cross path with a secret government agency named Apex.
Power Rangers Artist Tribute[edit]
Power Rangers Artist Tribute is a 2018 hardcover book that collects artwork from various comic book artists. It was released on April 3, 2018.[15]
Power Rangers: Soul of the Dragon[edit]
Power Rangers: Soul of the Dragon is a 2018 graphic novel written by Kyle Higgins and drawn by Giuseppe Cafaro. It will be released on December 11, 2018.[16][17]
An older Tommy Oliver tries to find his son, an S.P.D. officer, who has gone missing after an undercover mission goes wrong.
Reception[edit]
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has gained mostly positive critical reviews, with the #1 issue selling approximately 100,000 copies.[18]
The #1 issues of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink and Go Go Power Rangers have also received positive reviews.[19][20]
