Pragya Mishra (born 13 November 1994) is an Indian journalist, radio Jockey, media personality and YouTuber. She is working in the regional news channel @bharat samachar which is based in Lucknow, she worked as radio Jockey in Akashavani Lucknow and hosted Doordarshan TV shows named - 'jeewan ke rang filmo ke sang', 'classical voice of India' and others. She is also a founder of @ultachasmauc, the Hindi YouTube channel is based on public interviews and news blogs. She hosts a popular program including the channel's flagship 'CUTTING CHAI'.

Early life and education

Pragya Mishra is born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on 13 November 1994. She obtained her high school education from Lucknow Public School (Lucknow). She also worked as a theatre artist and radio jockey. She was graduated from Makhanalal Patrakarita University. Eventually she enrolled in a post-graduate diploma in Hindi Journalism from Bheem Rao Ambedkar University (Lucknow). Pragya Mishra was also involved in nukkad natak and theater shows from 2013 - 2016.

Personal life

Pragya Mishra’s father’s name is Mr. Satish Chandra Mishra, a sitar artist and music lecturer. He worked as an artist in All India Radio in 1990. Later he started teaching music in City Montessori School and also served Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth. Her mother’s name is Mrs. Rama Mishra, she was M.Ed and worked as a Sanskrit teacher in Banaras at Kashi Hindu School. She is the granddaughter of late Pandit Shiv Bihari Lal Mishra who was a well-known sitar artist in All India Radio. She belongs to a musical family. She married Bharat Yadav in 2020; her marriage was a social media sensation because she belongs to a Hindu Brahmin family and her husband was non-Brahmin. This inter-caste marriage was highlighted on social media. Bharat Yadav served many news channels and currently works in @bharat samachar news channel as output head in 2020. Pragya Mishra also received death threats in the past for her journalism.
