Arjun Reddy

As Sandeep was struggling to get a break into the Telugu Film Industry as a film director, Pranay, with his father and family's support, turned producer to make the cult movie Arjun Reddy. Pranay and his father started a company "Bhadrakali Pictures" and produced the film Arjun Reddy. The film was released on 25 August 2017 and became a blockbuster hit with rave reviews. The entire Telugu film fraternity praised Sandeep's work and appreciated Pranay for producing such a movie. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles, alongside Rahul Ramakrishna, Kamal Kamaraju and Kanchana portraying supporting roles. The soundtrack was composed by Radhan and the background score is by Harshavardan "Ramee" Rameshwar. Raju Thota served as the film's cinematographer while Shashank was the film's editor. The best appreciation received for Arjun Reddy is comparing it with RGV's Shiva. The film, produced on a budget of INR 5 crores, went on to gross more than INR 52 crores at the box office.

Controversy

The film ran into trouble with the censor board for its depiction of smoking and narcotic drug use. It also created controversy for its kissing scenes and for a movie poster which was approved by the Telangana Film Chamber.

Remake

Arjun Reddy is to be remade in different Indian languages, including Kannada, Hindi and Tamil.
