Dr Prash Ladva MD (born August 1996) is a British-Indian entrepreneur and chief executive officer of LinkMedics. He is also an NHS doctor and Clinical Fellow to Professor Sir Stephen Powis, the NHS National Medical Director.[1][2]

Early life

Ladva was born in Farnworth, Bolton. He was raised in a working-class family within a deprived area of Bolton known as Deane, and he attended Ladybridge High School. Ladva went on to study Medicine at the Medical University of Plovdiv in Bulgaria. Ladva completed his medical training outside of the UK and returned to the NHS in late 2021.[3]

Career

Medical career and clinical leadership

Ladva started his NHS career working as an Acute Medicine doctor. In 2023, he was appointed Associate Non-Executive Director of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust[4]. In this role, Ladva provides clinical leadership to strategic matters arising at board level, and ensures the right decisions are made for the patients and wider community. He is also currently Clinical Fellow to the NHS National Medical Director. His role at NHS England sits within the newly formed national Workforce, Training & Education Directorate. He is also a Governor at his previous primary school in Bolton[5].

Entrepreneurship and innovation

Ladva founded LinkMedics in 2019, as a then fifth-year medical student[6][7][8]. LinkMedics is a one-stop-shop for overseas trained healthcare professionals, which claims to provide everything from clinical training and education, pastoral care and supported NHS employment. LinkMedics have found success working with NHS Trusts from Bradford Teaching Hospitals, University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire to Mid & South Essex NHS Foundation Trust[9][10][11]. In the same year, Ladva was awarded a place on the NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and the Mid & South Essex Innovation Fellowship[12][13].

Public speaking

Ladva is managed by the organisation Speaker Agency, and provides keynotes on business, entrepreneurship and motivation to younger generations[14].

Awards

Ladva was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 for his work on LinkMedics[15]. In 2024, he was listed in the UK Top 100 List, as one of the Most Influential People of 2024[16] [17].
