Prateek Yadav (born 1987) is an Indian businessman, social worker, and philanthropist. He is the son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and the step-brother of Akhilesh Yadav. He is married to politician Aparna Yadav.
Early life and education
Yadav was born in Saifai, Uttar Pradesh, to Mulayam Singh Yadav and Sadhana Gupta.[1] He studied in Lucknow and later pursued business management.[2]
Career
Yadav serves as director and promoter of several companies and LLPs, including Opex Infratech Pvt. Ltd., Aloha Hotels & Properties Pvt. Ltd., Ironhyde Apparel Pvt. Ltd., Cryptodig (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., and Jeev Aashraya Foundation.[3][4]
He has been involved in property and infrastructure ventures in Uttar Pradesh and has participated in initiatives related to animal welfare, including founding the Jeev Aashraya Foundation, which has received media coverage for its work in rescuing and rehabilitating animals in Lucknow.[5]
He has also supported initiatives in health and fitness, including promoting modern gym facilities and wellness programs in Lucknow.[6]

Yadav has appeared in media coverage during family and civic events and has expressed support for his family's political activities.[1] He has also participated in religious and social events, including performing the pind daan rituals of his parents at Badrinath.[7]
Controversies
In July 2025, Yadav filed a police complaint alleging cheating and extortion against a business associate.[8][9]
Personal life
Yadav is married to Aparna Yadav, who contested the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly election as a Samajwadi Party candidate and later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2022.[10] The couple reside in Lucknow.
