Preemptive cybersecurity

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Preemptive cybersecurity is a proactive strategy and set of emerging technologies that focus on anticipating and neutralizing cyber threats before they can cause damage or materialize into active incidents, rather than waiting to detect and respond to an attack in progress.

Preemptive cybersecurity is characterized by a proactive approach aimed at deceiving, disrupting, and/or denying attackers to prevent cyberattacks from achieving their objectives. It uses technologies like AI and machine learning to analyze patterns, predict potential attacks, and deploy automated responses and defenses such as deception tactics and preemptive exposure management to disrupt the cyber kill chain and prevent attacks.
