Preparatory Public School, Jhalori was founded in 2001 by Late Mr. Jagdish Chandra Tiwari and Late Mrs. Prema Tiwari.[5] Beginning with a small cohort of students, the school gradually expanded its enrolment and infrastructure over the following two decades, establishing itself as one of the recognised primary and upper-primary institutions serving the Jhalori–Almora rural belt
Following the founders' tenure, the management of the institution passed to Mrs. Anjali Tiwari, who continues to oversee the school's administration. Academic leadership of the school is currently held by Principal Mr. Naveen Chandra.
