The President's Task Force on the Preservation of Natural Beauty met on July 31, 1964. The task force was comprised of the following members: Charles Haar (Chairman), John Dyckman, Loren Eiseley, Fred Farr, John K. Galbraith, Maurice Goddard, Frederick Gutheim, Jane Jacobs, Laurance Rockefeller, Paul B. Sears, William H. Whyte, George R. Lamb (Executive Secretary), and Richard Goodwin (White House Liaison).
