Primarily Leather was a business in Lawrence, Kansas during the 1960s and 1970s. The leather craftsmen provided custom-made sandals for University of Kansas students, but the company was much more than that. Going to Primarily Leather for one's footwear was a statement in favor of high quality, durability, and local, small-scale creation of a prized possession.
