Prince Eudes Maria Rainier Pedro José of Orléans-Braganza (8 June 1939 in Mandelieu, France - 13 August 2020 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil[1]) was a member of the Imperial House of Brazil. He was the second child of Prince Pedro Henrique of Orléans-Braganza, then head of the Brazilian Imperial Family, and Princess Maria Elisabeth of Bavaria.[2]
Biography[edit]
Prince Eudes first married on 14 May 1967 in São Paulo, Ana Maria Cerqueira César Moraes de Barros (born 20 November 1945 in São Paulo), daughter of Luíz Moraes de Barros and Maria do Carmo Cerqueira César. He renounced any rights of succession to the defunct Brazilian throne for himself and his descendants on 3 June 1966.[2] They officially divorced on 22 March 1976. Ana Maria then married to Baldomero Barbará. From his first marriage, Prince Eudes has two children:
- Prince Luiz Philippe Maria José Miguel Gabriel Rafael Gonzaga of Orléans-Braganza (born 3 April 1969 in Rio de Janeiro), married in 2008, Fernanda Miguita (born in 1978). They have one son:
- Prince Maximillian of Orléans-Braganza (born 7 June 2012 in São Paulo)
- Princess Ana Luíza Maria Josefa Micaela Gabriela Rafaela Gonzaga of Orléans-Braganza (born 21 June 1971 in Rio de Janeiro), married on 18 May 1996 in São Paulo, Paulo Ibrahim Mansur (born 5 February 1962 in São Pualo), son of Ibrahim Wadih Mansour and Regina Chamiê. They have two sons:
- Rodrigo Rui of Orléans-Braganza Mansour (born 19 July 1997 in São Paulo)
- Guilherme of Orléans-Braganza Mansour (born 13 November 2002 in São Paulo)
On 26 March 1976 in Rio de Janeiro, Prince Eudes married secondly Mercedes Willemsens Neves da Rocha (born 26 January 1955 in Petrópolis), daughter of Guy de Provença Neves da Rocha and Lia Viegas Willemsens. Together they have four children:
- Eudes Maria José Miguel Gabriel Raphael Gonzaga of Orléans-Braganza (born 17 December 1977 in Rio de Janeiro), married on 15 March 2008 in Rio de Janeiro, Patrícia Annechino Landau (born 18 June 1984 in Rio de Janeiro). They have two children:

- Valentina of Orleans-Braganza e Landau (born 8 June 2011 in Rio de Janeiro)
- Maria Francisca Josefa Micaela Gabriela Rafaela Gonzaga of Orléans-Braganza (born 18 August 1979 in Rio de Janeiro), married on 7 May 2005 in Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo de Almeida Braga Ratto (born in 1977), son of Maria do Carmo Nabuco de Almeida Braga and Gianni Ratto. They divorced in 2013. They have two children. She remarried on 15 July 2017, Michael Anthony Whyte (born 3 June 1978), son of Donald Anthony Whyte and Victoria Anne Marvin. They have one daughter:
- Lucas of Orléans-Braganza Ratto (born 28 November 2007 in Rio de Janeiro)
- Maria of Orléans-Braganza Ratto (born 23 December 2010 in Rio de Janeiro)

- Maria Antônia Josefa Micaela Gabriela Rafaela Gonzaga of Orléans-Braganza (born 18 August 1979 in Rio de Janeiro), married on 15 June 2007 in Rio de Janeiro, João Eduardo de Carvalho Moreira (born 7 July 1978 in Neuilly-sur-Seine), son of César de Faria Domingues Moreira and Maria Guadalupe de Carvalho. They have two sons:
