Plot

Tybalt and his Capulet Brothers navigate Da People’s Republic of Brooklyn where underground sword dueling with the rival Montagues blossoms while following the principles of Hip-Hop: DJing, MCing, Breakdancing and Graffiti.

Production

Development

In July 2018, Legendary Entertainment acquired the rights to Prince of Cats, with Selwyn Seyfu Hinds adapting the comic. In July 2019, Spike Lee was hired direct and co-write the script with Ron Wimberly and Hinds.

Casting

In July 2018, Lakeith Stanfield was set to play Tybalt in the film, but dropped out before Lee took over the film.
