Princess Suan (1088–1128)[3] was a Goryeo Royal Princess as the first and oldest daughter of King Seonjong and Queen Sasuk, also the full younger sister of King Heonjong.[4] However, she had a visual impairment since birth that she couldn't see (blindness), which meant she was unable to marry until her 40s, and died in 1128. During her lifetime, she witnessed at least 5 monarchs (her father–Seonjong, her brother–Heonjong, her uncle–Sukjong, her first cousin–Yejong, and her first cousin once removed–Injong).[5]
