Privacy laws
Doxxing: Doxxing is when somebody finds out where you live or already knows where you live and leaks it out onto the internet, and it can lead to dangerous things. If you get reported for it, you can go to jail or prison for 1 year and/or pay a $5000 fine.
Spyware: It is a type of virus that lets someone see everything you are doing, from your search history to your device location, which is a major breach of privacy. You can easily get arrested for making one; if you do, you can go to prison for 1 year or more and can get sued for an unknown amount.
Stalking/Spying: This one is a classic. Stalking is a type of spying, and they either do or do not know if you are aware of it, but it might get them into jail for years and a fine of $1000 USD.
Viruses and Trojans: Spyware is a type of virus, but there are more than just spyware that can breach your privacy, like a rootkit or digital worms. I will do my best to tell you what the majority of viruses that can cause privacy breaches are called. Rootkit: A rootkit is a type of virus that can give the hacker full control of your device. You can get a lot of fines and be sued a lot if you are caught. You can get locked up in jail for up to 20 years. Worm: A worm is a type of malware that duplicates itself to spread across a network. They are very dangerous if coded correctly and can do ransomware attacks, steal information about you, or do DDoS attacks. Keylogging: Keylogging is not always for malicious things like stealing bank info; it is installed sometimes to keep track of workers’ monitors or children’s monitors to make sure they do not do things they are not supposed to do. But when it is installed for bad purposes, then it can steal almost all of your private info, making these, if intended for malicious intent, a major privacy breach.
