Priya Enclave is an up-scale residential colony located in the East of Delhi, planned by Delhi Development Authority in year 1984. The initial land allotments by the DDA were done to the officials of Customs and Excise Department, Government of India. At present, only few officials of the Excise Department reside in the colony as most of them have relocated to other places. The colony is surrounded by other colonies as follows:
- AGCR Enclave in the Westside
- Kiran Vihar in the Eastside
- Shanti Vihar in the Southside
- CBD Groud, Karkardooma in the Northside
The colony has in total 128 plots all equal sized out of which 107 residences are located inside the colony while remaining 21 houses are located at the external periphery of the colony towards Main Road, Karkardooma. The colony has 2 parks and a hindu temple. Due to the proximity of the Karkardooma Court Complex, many lawyers have also established their chambers in the external periphery of the colony.
The majority of the residents of this colony are businessmen having their establishments in traditional markets of Delhi while few professionals including Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers and teachers also live here comprising a population of around 600 residents.
It is part of Vishwas Nagar Assembly Constituency and belongs to Anand Vihar ward of East Delhi Municipal Corporation. This colony is one of the posh colonies of East Delhi Parliamentary Constituency where a typical house costs around Rupees 9 - 10 crore. Renowned Educationist Mr. RC Jain who has been an MLA candidate from BJP also lives in this colony.
