Production Club is a Los Angeles-based creative studio that provides design services to the gaming, tech, and music sector.[1][2][3] The company manages large-scale parties, events, and festivals for these industries.[4][5] The company is best known for introducing Micrashell, a pandemic proof suit to attend concerts and nightlife events, in 2020.[6][2][7][4]

History

Corey Johnson, Vivek Srinivassan and Miguel Risueño founded the Production Club in February 2012.[8][4] The company is headquartered in Los-Angeles and Spain.[1] Production Club has managed large-scale parties, events, festivals and art direction for music artists and corporate clients.[4][5][8] Production Club invents creative solutions for group gatherings, such as the Micrashell.[9][10][11][12][13][14]

The company has designed and managed events and live shows for artists like The Chainsmokers, Grimes, Zedd, Zhu, Dog Blood, and Skrillex.[2][3][15][16][8][17] Production Club designed and produced shows for The Chainsmokers, including Zhu's DUNE tour and Memories Do Not Open tour.[18]Production Club has created experiences for tech and gaming clients including AWS, Epic Games, YouTube, Amazon, Intel, Factory93, The Game Awards, and Riot Games.[2][19][20][8][18][21]

Growth

Production Club’s first notable projects included working with Skrillex and Notch, the creator of Minecraft, to stage parties and live performances.[8][18] In 2014, Notch – the founder of Minecraft – bought a $70M house in Beverly Hills that received media coverage. Production Club planned the parties for the mansion with high profile guests from the music, gaming, and film industries to interact.[22]

Notable projects

Production Club created Skrillex's first major touring production, 'The Cell,’ where it incorporated projection mapping by creating a real-time gaming experience.[20][8][23][24]

Production Club concepted and created Intersect Festival with Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an extension of the AWS re:Invent conference and re:Play party.[20][21][25][26] Other projects include the AWS's re:Invent 2017 party, AWS's re:Play 2018 party, and re:MARS party.[27] Their public-facing Intersect Festival in 2019 featured the Foo Fighters, Anderson Paak, Kacey Musgraves, and Flying Lotus.[28][17]
