About[edit]

Professional Certified Marketer (PCM®) is the title of qualified marketers in various countries. It is issued by the largest marketing association in the world - American Marketing Association(AMA). PCM is one of the most prestigious qualifications in the field of marketing and it is awarded to individuals who have passed the official exam held by AMA.[1]

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are also required to maintain the licensure. Individuals who have been awarded the PCM but have lapsed in the fulfillment of the required CEUs are required to resit the exam in three years time from the initial issuance. Unlike other equivalent certifications like CPAs and CISA, PCM is not legally required for individuals or corporations to attest marketing activities. Many PCMs are members of the American Marketing Association and their local chapters in their regions.[2]
