Background

Back when I first started learning music theory and how to produce, I remember stumbling upon a strange website where people uploaded all kinds of weird music. This one track I heard really stood out to me as it was a recording of a broken speaker in someone's car. It was absolutely fascinating to think that this could be considered music, and that there were people who actually listened to it! Although at that time I wasn't interested in producing such music myself, it always stuck with me, and throughout the years, as I learned chord progressions and how to write melodies and sculpt sub bass and produce beats, I had always found myself questioning what makes music actually "music".

Finally, after all these years, I have decided to dive head first into the noise genre. Now, I have a bit of a confession, I was a little bit shy at first about releasing this album, simply because I didn't want people to get the wrong first impression about my music. I am very melodic by nature. I love chords and melodies and pulsing baselines and I didn't want people to hear this album and think that I just make random noise. So I kinda held off on this for a while, until finally I thought to myself what good is it sitting on my computer anyway? If people are truly interested in my work then they will check out my other albums as well. I shouldn't hinder my creativity in fear of a bad first impression because someone might not understand what I'm doing with this project or comprehend the artistic value behind it. If anything I can say that I simply make all of my music for myself, since every song I create is an expression of how I felt at that time.
